One of my most favorite juices in beet juice. I absolutely love how it has helped my liver and gallbladder function better. Evidently it has also helped my skin because I am always complimented for having a great skin!! I did not even put the two together until I was writing this piece for Blue Barn Juice in Charleston, SC.

Beets are amazing. Eat them, drink them, love them. When you are shopping for beets (or growing them) then look for organic whole beetroots, you can eat the purple and the green leaf parts! Although beets have the highest sugar content of all vegetables, most people can safely eat beet roots a few times a week (and their greens in unlimited quantities), enjoying not only their sweet, earthy flavor but also their powerhouse nutrients that may improve your health in so many ways. They help lower your blood pressure, increase your stamina, fight inflammation (think gut inflammation and joint/bone inflammation, and they are also very detoxifying.
