A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) is certified to practice by the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) in Olympia, Washington. NTP’s make client specific nutrition recommendations to restore balance and create optimal wellness within the body rather than diagnosing or treating specific diseases. NTP’s work from a “foundational” and “bio-individual” perspective.

The six Foundations are:

• Properly-prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food Diet

• Digestion

• Fatty Acid Balance

• Blood Sugar Regulation/Adrenal Function

• Mineral Balance

• Hydration

Just as each house built needs a balanced foundation tailored to it’s unique environment, so does the body

NTP’s utilize numerous tools in order to uncover each clients nutritional needs in order to restore balance to the “Foundations”.

These tools include: health and lifestyle questionnaires and quizzes, food journals, and a hands-on functional evaluation appointment utilizing reflex points and lingual-neuro testing. As a NTP, it is my goal to educate my clients on how to listen to their body’s signals and to empower them in supporting their body’s with delicious, nourishing foods that are right for their unique needs.

If you have any questions about NTP or NTA please let me know!
